Bishkek, June 1, 2020. /Kabar/. Today, June 1, on the International Children’s Day President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with children participating in the Meerim TV project.

Buburakhima Absatar kyzy (15 years old), Diana Amankozhoyeva (11), Aktan Jumabekov (12), Yimanbai Kushtarbekov (12) and Erbol Mansurov (13) took part in the meeting, the President’s press service reported.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov congratulated the meeting participants on the International Children's Day.
The meeting was held in a warm atmosphere. Children asked President Jeenbekov questions, told him about their plans, about professions they are interested in.
The Kyrgyz leader was asked on the fates of children being brought up in orphanages and boarding schools.
Jeenbekov talked about his work, as well as family members, spoke about the state policy to protect and support children, the digitalization of the country.
The President wished children to master modern digital skills, but at the same time urged not to forget about reading books.
The meeting participants were presented notebooks as gifts from the President. For his part, Aktan Jumabekov talked about pottery classes and gave Jeenbekov a souvenir gift – a self-made piggy bank in the form of snow leopard.

Children took a walk with the President through the territory of the Ala Archa state residence.
Jeenbekov told them about the places where events at the state level and official meetings are held.

At the final press conference of the President in December 2019, author of the Meerim TV project received a proposal from Jeenbekov to meet with TV project participants.
This project helps children who have lost their parents by covering their story and finding people who are ready to help them.
