Four avalanches fall down in Kyrgyzstan in one day

Bishkek, Feb. 6, 2018 / Kabar /. On the mountain roads of Kyrgyzstan, 4 avalanches fell down since the morning, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The snow mass with a volume of 300 cubic meters came down today at 9:30 a.m. on the 99 km of Ala-Buka-Jany-Bazar-Kirovka highway, which is close to Chatkal district in Jalal-Abad region. On the same section of the road, the second avalanche of 500 cubic meters fell down at 2:00 p.m.

A snow mass of 1500 cubic meters blocked the Krasnaya Gorka-Ak-Tash line from 5 to 10 kilometers this morning. On the same segment of the road, the avalanche came down again at 2:00 p.m. Its volume was about 1000 cubic meters.

Both sites of roads are being cleaned where special vehicles are involved. There are no victims and no one is injured.
