Bishkek, May 22, 2020 / Kabar/. One infected person created a danger to the entire region in Ak-Talaa region of Naryn Oblast, Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Nurbolot Usenbaev told.

The deputy minister noted that today the number of contacts is 2150 people. Coronavirus infections continue to be recorded. Cases are identified among contact persons.

“This indicates that we need to change our attitude towards social distance and personal hygiene, especially at a time when economic activity is resuming in the country. Many people still do not take this disease seriously and think that this is happening somewhere far from us. For example, in Naryn Oblast, one woman whose activities are related to communicating with people, held her meetings, and eventually infected several people. One source of infection created a danger to the whole region,” Usenbaev said.

The deputy minister noted that only three cases were brought into Naryn Oblast. There are now 242 confirmed cases of coronavirus. The number of contacts is 1565 people. In Naryn Oblast, the epidemiological situation is unfavorable.

Today, 37 new COVID-19 cases have been registered in Kyrgyzstan, 21 of them in Naryn Oblast. The total number of cases in the country is 1350, of which 273 cases are medical workers. 949 people were recovered and discharged from hospitals, including 224 health workers. Fourteen have passed away.
