One more party to participate in parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan, 16 in total

Bishkek, Sept. 10, 2020 / Kabar /. One more party - Butun Kyrgyzstan will participate in parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan, raising the total number of parties competing for seats in the parliament to 16. Earlier the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan have registered 15 political parties.

The Bishkek City Administrative Court upheld the application of the Butun Kyrgyzstan party against the Central Election Commission. The court satisfied the claim of the Butun Kyrgyzstan political party by declaring illegal and canceling the decision of the Central Election Commission dated Sept.3, 2020 on refusal to register the list of candidates from the Butun Kyrgyzstan political party.

The CEC did not register the Butun Kyrgyzstan political party to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections, explaining this by the fact that the party had violated the rules for the formation of the electoral list of candidates.

Parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan are scheduled for Oct. 4, 2020. The election campaign has started on Sept. 4.
