Bishkek, Oct.17, 2019. /Kabar/. As part of his two-day working trip to Toktogul region of Dzhalal-Abad Oblast, Kyrgyz President Sooronbay Jeenbekov familiarized with the activities of the Aselim sewing shop in the village of Kara-Tektir.
Jeenbekov was informed the sewing shop currently employs 50 people and exports its products to Russia, his press service reported.
To expand the production line, local authorities have allocated land for the construction of a new facility, and possibility of granting a concessional loan is being considered.
The President noted with satisfaction that one of the main directions of the state policy of regional development is to support small and medium businesses. He stressed the importance of providing all possible assistance to business initiatives in the regions.
The Kyrgyz leader noted the increase in the number of such enterprises contributes to the development of the country's export potential and reduction of internal migration by creating new jobs.
Jeenbekov assured that the solution of the problems of entrepreneurship development in the regions will remain a priority direction of the activity of the involved state bodies.
The President also toured the exhibition, which presented honey products of Toktogul region. In a conversation with local producers, he emphasized that the domestic products can compete in foreign markets due to their quality and environmental friendliness.
