Bishkek, Apr. 23, 2020. /Kabar/. One of the passengers of the Istanbul-Bishkek-Istanbul flight has been tested positive for coronavirus, the press service of the Republican Headquarters for Preventing Import and Further Spread of Coronavirus Infection in the Kyrgyz Republic said Thursday.
Coronavirus infection in the passenger who arrived on Apr. 17 form Turkey was detected on the results of PCR diagnostic. Person who had been contacted with him is under medical observation.
The other passengers, according to the algorithm of actions approved by the Ministry of Health, after the first negative PCR analysis are sent to home quarantine.
A charter flight from Turkey’s Istanbul with Kyrgyz citizens en board was met at Manas International Airport on Apr.17, for the safety of all passengers, they have been served on the platform of the airport and sent for examination.
This flight with 211 Kyrgyz citizens was organized in cooperation with the Turkish side.
As of Apr. 23, a total of 631 cases of coronavirus infection has been registered in Kyrgyzstan, among them 162 cases of medical personnel infection.
302 citizens have recovered and been discharged from hospitals, 8 have died.
