One thousand tons of winter wheat seeds arrive in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Sept. 28, 2021 . / Kabar /. One thousand tons of seeds of Asr and Davr winter wheat were imported in Kyrgyzstan in accordance with the protocol of the 9th meeting of the joint intergovernmental commission on bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

The press service of Kyrgyzstan’s Agriculture Ministry reported that the volume of seeds includes super elite, elite and first reproduction seeds and is aimed at providing them to seed farms and agricultural producers. The potential yield capacity of Asr and Davr varieties is high, which provides grain yields above 80 cwt/ha on the control plots in Osh Oblast.

All seeds received have been distributed to regions of the country and will be used for sowing the 2022 crop.
