Bishkek, Feb. 24, 2021 / Kabar /. Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development Nurbolot Usenbaev today at a briefing called on all citizens of the country to observe the mask regime, social distance and all measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

He said that one well-known institute has conducted a study of all countries for compliance with sanitary standards against the backdrop of a pandemic.

“According to this study, in Kyrgyzstan, only 20% of the total population wear masks and maintain social distance. Comparatively in neighboring Kazakhstan, this figure was 60%. The life continues in the republic in a pandemic. Although the epidemiological situation has now stabilized, the coronavirus is spreading among the population. Therefore, I urge everyone not to neglect protective measures and curb the onslaught of this terrible disease,” Usenbaev said.
