Only WWII veteran in Osh to turn 100 years

Bishkek, May 8, 2024. /Kabar/. The only veteran of the Great Patriotic War living in the city of Osh, Kasymbay Zholdoshov, will turn 100 years old this year.

The Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration said that Zholdoshov was born on June 25, 1925. He went to the front in 1943 and returned home in 1950.

For courage during the war he was awarded WWII commemorative medals and military awards.

After returning from the war, he worked as a collective farmer, foreman, and cashier at the Kenesh collective farm in the Nookat region.

His wife and son died, and he lives with his grandson Mederbek Kasymbaev. He has one daughter, 27 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

His grandson Mederbek has 6 daughters.
