Bishkek, Oct. 28, 2020. /Kabar/. An opening ceremony of experimental 100-bed rapid-construction infectious diseases hospital at the Republican Clinical Hospital for Infectious Diseases took place in Bishkek.
Construction of the hospital began on July 25, 2020 and has a capacity of 100 beds. The facility was financed by the Fund for Social Partnership for the Development of Regions, and KGS 77.5 million have been allocated since the beginning of construction.
The hospital consists of three wards: intensive care unit with 30 beds (18 beds in the general hall and 12 isolated box wards), first and second ward (boxes with 3 beds and semi-boxes with 2 beds).
In order to isolate and stop further spread of infection, a separate entrance from the street is provided for patients.
The building of the new hospital has full engineering support in accordance with the requirements of existing building and sanitary standards.
A special ventilation system is provided in all rooms, wards and rooms where patients will be treated – returned air is released into the atmosphere through special filters from the wards through purification and subsequent disinfection.
A mobile X-ray machine, portable ultrasound machine, artificial lung ventilation units, high-flow ventilators, oxygen saturation device, defibrillator, bedside monitors to monitor the condition of patients, etc. are installed.
The area of the new building is 2,310 square meters.
The opening ceremony was attended by Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliyev, Director of the State Agency for Architecture, Construction and Housing and Communal Services Urmatbek Kokocharov, Chief Doctor of the Republican Clinical Hospital for Infectious Diseases Gulzhigit Aaliyev and the staff of the Infectious Diseases Hospital.
