Opening of Kyrgyzstan-China Friendship Society in Bishkek

Bishkek, Sept. 10, 2024. / Kabar/. The grand opening of the Kyrgyzstan-China Friendship Society public association took place today in Bishkek.

The event was attended by First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev and Ambassador of China to the Kyrgyz Republic Du Dewen.

Adylbek Kasymaliev noted in his speech that Kyrgyzstan and China are strategic partners and have close socio-economic ties. "We have the largest volume of trade with the Chinese side. China is our strategic partner and ally. When President Sadyr Zhaparov was on a working visit to China, a number of cooperation documents were signed between Kyrgyzstan and China. I believe that the Kyrgyzstan-China Friendship Society will deepen existing ties in the economic and social spheres, develop relations in the fields of culture, sports, education and others,” shared the Kyrgyz official said.

President of the public association Medetbek Bukuev said that they were officially registered 4-5 months ago at the Ministry of Justice. “Our association, which officially opened its doors today, will assist in strengthening and developing cooperation between the government agencies of Kyrgyzstan and the People’s Republic of China. There is a need to strengthen and develop cooperation in existing relations. China is a strategic partner of Kyrgyzstan and we have close cooperation in all areas of cooperation. And the creation of our organization is very opportune, because we will work to further deepen business ties between the two countries,” he said. Bukuev noted that the organization will work to attract investments, create new projects on mutually beneficial terms, and will develop Kyrgyz-Chinese cooperation in the cultural, educational, sports, and socio-economic spheres, except for politics. "Everyone knows very well that China is rapidly developing and is a leader in all areas. Most importantly, we are pleased with the policy of the China, which is not aggressive, but peaceful, aimed at the development of all mankind. I am confident that the activities of our company will be for the benefit of both states," said Bukuev.
