OSCE PA Chairman opens meeting in Bishkek in Kyrgyz

Bishkek, Oct.3, 2018. / Kabar /. The opening of the autumn session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA) was held today at Ala-Archa state residence in Bishkek.

In a solemn atmosphere, guests from more than 40 countries of the world were shown a short film about the historical and cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people. After a storm of applause from an impressive picture, OSCE PA Chairman George Tsereteli opened the meeting with a welcoming remark.

He greeted the participants of the meeting and expressed great gratitude to President Sooronbay Jeenbekov and the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan for the warm welcome. He also attached importance to the participation in the meeting of ex-president of Kyrgyzstan Roza Otunbayeva, addressing to her individual words of greeting.

Noting the hospitality and high level of organization, he decided to express his respect and gratitude in the Kyrgyz language.

He further outlined the importance of the topics to be discussed during the four-day meeting, among which regional security issues are one of the important agendas.
