Osh celebrates UN Day

Osh, Oct.29, 2019. /Kabar/. On Oct.26 the Alymbek-Datka ethnographic complex hosted events, dedicated to the 74th anniversary of the United Nations.

The program of the event included active efforts for both children and adults: legal advice, first aid, robotics master class, programming master class, aqua make-up, self-defense master class, fashion shows, quizzes, contests and much more.

In addition, there was a concert program with the performance of youth dance groups, demonstration performance of athletes, singing of national patriotic songs.

The opening ceremony was attended by heads of UN Agencies in Osh city, as well as a number of partner organizations. In the course of the cultural program of the UN Agency, number of partner organizations presented their services within the framework of the implementation of UN sustainable development goals.

The events were organized by the UN Agencies (UNICEF, UNDP, UNDCS, OHCHR, WFP, IOM, UN Women, FAO and others) with the assistance of the Osh Mayor's Office.

The sustainable development goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 global goals set by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015 for the year 2030. The SDGs are part of Resolution 70/1 of the United Nations General Assembly, the 2030 Agenda.

The Sustainable Development Goals are:
