Osh, Nov. 20, 2018. /Kabar/. A forum of women entrepreneurs was held in Osh on November 18, ion the occasion of the worldwide Women's Entrepreneurship Day
Kyrgyzstan joined the Women's Entrepreneurship Day celebration, which is celebrated on November 19 throughout the world.
As part of the event, there were presentations by guest speakers on how to open a business in Osh with minimal investment, a fashion show from Keshte Fashion House, and various master classes were held. One of the most successful businesswomen of the country, member of the JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), member of the JIA Business Association Bishkek, co-founder and member of the Association of Producers and Suppliers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jamila Sabitakunova, spoke at the Forum.
The key idea of celebrating the Women's Entrepreneurship Day is support and development of women's leadership, improvement of the economic standard of living, as well as the spiritual, personal and professional growth of women and girls in Kyrgyzstan.
“We want to motivate women entrepreneurs to be active participants in the economy, stimulate the active work of the community of young women leaders in Osh, give participants the opportunity to get inspiration from successful business stories and start-ups,” the organizers said
The event was organized by Osh JIA Business Association on the occasion of the international Women's Entrepreneurship Day. The association includes 350 entrepreneurs, including 70 women leaders who have succeeded in business in the southern region of Kyrgyzstan. In addition to entrepreneurship, Osh JIA members are engaged in social activities and contribute to the development of the country.
