Osh, March 3, 2021. / Kabar /. Within the framework of celebration the 29th anniversary of the National Flag of the Kyrgyz Republic, a ceremony of raising of 15-meter flag was held on the central square of Osh city.
Soldiers of Osh garrison carried the state symbol, which was hoisted over the square to the playing of the national anthem of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The event was attended by Osh Mayor Taalaibek Sarybashov, Chairman of Osh City Council Zhaparbek Ormonov, Deputy Governor of Osh Oblast Ahmadzhan Mahammadov, members of the legendary parliament, as well as representatives of the Osh public, members of the City Council, citizens, servicemen, law enforcement officers and city activists.
In his welcoming speech, the mayor noted the Day of the National Flag of the Kyrgyz Republic is one of the significant state holidays, and Osh has always celebrated it solemnly.
The national flag of the republic was approved on March 3, 1992. Authors are Edil Aidarbekov, Bekbosun Jaichybekov, Sabyr Iptarov, Zhusup Mataev, Mamatbek Sydykov.
The flag of Kyrgyzstan, according to its official description, is a red cloth, in the center of which there is a round solar disk with forty evenly diverging rays of golden color.
