Bishkek, Oct. 6, 2020. /Kabar/. Mayor of Bishkek Aziz Surakmatov resigned of his own accord, Head of the municipality’s press service Gulya Almambetova said.
Surakmatov was appointed mayor of the Kyrgyz capital on Aug. 8, 2018.
Today, it has became known that Osh City Council dismissed Mayor Taalaibek Sarybashev.
According to the press service of the southern capital Mayor's Office, 31 out of 45 deputies of the City Council expressed no confidence in him.
A rally is taking place near the city administration building of the Mayor's Office.
Taalaibek Sarybashev took office of the Osh mayor on July 18, 2018.
