Bishkek, Oct. 7, 2021 / Kabar /. An art residence for 10 masters of fine arts from Bishkek, Jalal-Abad, Osh and Andizhan (Uzbekistan) is being held from 6 to 10 October in Osh Regional Museum of Fine Arts named after Sadykov.
Masters from Uzbekistan’s Andizhan were invited to participate in the project. Participants discuss topical issues of the development of painting in Central Asia, strengthening the interaction of cultural objects (museums) with art masters in order to successfully promote creative activity in the context of the development of technology.
Trainer Gamal Bokonbaev, Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic, member of the Union of Artists and the Union of Designers of the Kyrgyz Republic, cultural scientist, gave a lecture on the history of social painting. He expects that important social themes will be reflected in future works of the participants.
In addition to information sessions and discussions, cultural events are provided: excursions around the city of Osh and its environs in order to study the history of the region, meetings with activists and experts.
For artists, this project is a great opportunity to realize their creative potential. After the art residence, the participants will continue to create in their workshops, the final results will be presented at an exhibition in the Sadykov Museum of Fine Arts.
The event is held by the public foundation "Amanat-Omur" in partnership with the Osh Regional Museum of Fine Arts with the support of the Soros-Kyrgyzstan Foundation.
