Bishkek, Sept. 30, 2021 / Kabar /. A scientific and practical conference on the topic "Islam is the religion of peace" is being held in Osh, on September 30 and October 1 of this year, organized by the State Commission for Religious Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan and the Kazyat of Muslims of Osh with the assistance of the Osh City Administration and Osh State University.
The international conference was attended by representatives of government agencies, religious organizations and educational institutions of Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and the Turkish Embassy in Kyrgyzstan.
The main purpose of the event is to discuss the role and place of Islam in the establishment of peace and harmony, the organization of educational and preventive measures against radicalism, extremism and terrorism, the interaction of state bodies and religious associations, the observance of common spiritual and cultural values, respect for various beliefs and views, love for a person, principles of tolerance.
Within the framework of the conference, Director of the State Committee of Religions of the Kyrgyz Republic Toigonbai Abdykarov met with the adviser to the plenipotentiary ambassador of Turkey Mursel Ozturk, representative of the administration (Muftiate) of Muslims of Uzbekistan Abdulhakim Matkulov, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Muftis of Russia Damir Mukhetdinov, Mufti of Muslims of Kazakhstan Naurizbay Utpinov.
The conference participants emphasized the unanimity in the need to further strengthen good-neighborly relations and cooperation between religious associations between countries, given that joint work at the international level, the exchange of experience will have a great impact on the preservation of the interests of all citizens, traditions, customs of each people, the development of culture and traditional values, ensuring peace.
