Osh, July 13, 2023. /Kabar/. Mayor of Kyrgyzstan’s Osh city Bakytbek Zhetigenov met with Ambassador of Hungary to Kyrgyzstan Dorogi Sándor.
In his welcoming speech, the mayor noted the high level of cooperation between the two brotherly nations, the dynamic and intensive nature of the development of trade and economic relations, including through the Kyrgyz-Hungarian Development Fund.
"The Osh Mayor’s Office is ready and open to realize investment projects with the support of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian Development Fund. We invite the Hungarian business community to invest in promising projects in our city. We promise to provide the necessary support and comprehensive assistance,” the mayor emphasized.
It was also proposed to consider the establishment of twinning ties between the cities of Osh and Szeged, development of inter-university cooperation on academic mobility of students and teachers, implementation of joint investment projects.
In turn, Dorogi Sándor noted that at present bilateral ties are actively developing, work on export of meat and fish to Hungary, cooperation in water energy.
"This year, 2 thousand citizens of Kyrgyzstan have an opportunity to find employment in Hungary. The Embassy is working daily to issue visas to all EU countries, which is undoubtedly very convenient. About 200 students from Kyrgyzstan annually study in Hungarian universities with very good conditions. Within the framework of inter-university cooperation, special attention is paid to teaching the Hungarian language, exchange of pedagogical staff,” the ambassador said.
In addition, in order to improve the effectiveness of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian Development Fund a propose was made to open its representative office in Osh, to organize a joint business forum for entrepreneurs, which will be reported to the Fund additionally.
