Osh, Aug. 23, 2018. /Kabar/. Mayor of Osh Taalaibek Sarybashov met with representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Kyrgyzstan led by Deputy Director of the EBRD Representative Office in Kyrgyzstan Taalay Asylbekov.
During the meeting the sides discussed current, as well as new joint projects.
Within the meeting the second phase of the project for improving public transport was discussed, moreover, the sides deliberated on speeding up tender for purchasing garbage containers, as well as preparing areas for them in the city’s territory, and accelerating tender for purchasing special equipment for the Osh Tazalyk Specialized Municipal Enterprise were discussed. At the end the establishing a sanitary area for collecting solid household waste and the second stage of the Osh Water and Wastewater Rehabilitation project were discussed.
Taalaibek Sarybashov noted that the Osh Mayor’s Office will provide assistance and support in addressing all the issues regarding implementation of the projects.
Since 2011 EBRD has been actively cooperating with Osh in improving the city’s infrastructure, including improving the water supply system, public transport, as well as solid household waste management.
