Osh, Oct. 1, 2019 / Kabar /. Within the framework of the monthly ampaign “Attention and Care for Elderly”, on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons, gifts and material assistance were presented to older people in Osh city.
Osh Mayor Taalaibek Sarybashov visited the Boorukerdik boarding home and presented gifts and cash prizes to senior citizens. The mayor also visited 109-year-old Kassiet Zholdosheva who is also provided with financial assistance.
The mayor said that events are being held throughout the city of Osh for the elderly. “The whole world today marks the International Day of Older Persons. In the city of Osh, various events are also held to provide support and assistance to older people,” he said.
According to statistics, there are about 145 elderly people in Osh who need care and attention.
In addition, the mayor got acquainted with the activities of the Bourukerdik boarding school. A festive concert program was organized for elder people.
