Bishkek, March 30, 2020 / Kabar /. Spring field work has begun in Kyrgyzstan’s southern Osh oblast, the population will be fully provided with food, the Osh Oblast authorities said.
Governor of the oblast Uzarbek Zhylkybaev familiarized with the progress of the spring field work in Aravan region. During the visit, he said that the population will be fully provided with food. “Food is enough. Like before, the products will be exported to Russia and Kazakhstan,” he said.
The governor instructed not to stop the agricultural work of farmers to prevent food shortages. For farmers of Uzgen region, seeds were brought from Chui oblast, farmers are fully provided with irrigation water and equipment. In other areas of the region, spring field work is also underway.
12 thousand 607 hectares of land have been plowed in Kara-Suu region. Spring wheat is sown on an area of 2 thousand 70 hectares of land, 3 thousand 880 hectares - barley, 53 hectares - potatoes, 48 hectares - corn, 48 hectares - vegetables.
