OTS Summit held in Samarkand

Bishkek, Nov. 11, 2022. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr ZHaparov took part in the ninth Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), held in Samarkand city of Uzbekistan.

In his speech, Sadyr Zhaparov raised issues of regional security, called on the OTS countries to expand trade relations and supported the initiative to establish the Investment Fund of the Organization.

By the decision of the heads of state of the OTS, the representative of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubanychbek Omuraliev was appointed Secretary General of the OTS.

In addition, the outstanding writer Chyngyz Aitmatov was posthumously awarded the Alisher Navoi International Prize “For Contribution to the Unity of the Turkic World”.

The award was handed over to President Sadyr Zhaparov.
