Outflow of remittances from Kyrgyzstan decreases by 61%

Bishkek, Jan. 12, 2024. /Kabar/. In November last year, individuals transferred USD 28.3 million from Kyrgyzstan to other countries. This data is provided by the country’s National Bank.

The bulk was sent to Russia - USD 25.3 million, or 89.4%.

To Kazakhstan – USD 0.3 million and USD 0.4 million to other CIS countries.

The outflow to non-CIS countries in November 2023 amounted to USD 2.2 million. Of these, 2 million were sent to Turkey and 0.2 million to other countries

For 11 months of 2023, the volume of remittances from the Kyrgyz Republic amounted to USD 423.98 million, which is 61% less than in the same period in 2022.
