Bishkek, May 12, 2023. / Kabar /. In March of this year, individuals transferred USD 42.2 million from Kyrgyzstan to other countries. Such data is provided by the National Bank.
The main part was transferred to Russia – USD 36.6 million, or 86.7%. A tenth ($4.4 million) was sent to Turkiye and the remaining 2.8% to other countries.
Compared to March 2022, the outflow of money increased by 19.2%. In that period, USD 35.4 million were sent from Kyrgyzstan through fast transfer systems.
For the three months of 2023, the volume of money transfers from the country amounted to USD 149.6 million, which is 1.4 times more than in the same period of 2022.
