Bishkek, April 10, 2023. / Kabar/. In February of this year, individuals transferred USD 49.5 million from Kyrgyzstan to other countries. Such data is provided by the National Bank.
The main part was transferred to Russia - USD 34.3 million, or 69.2%. Less than a third (28%) was sent to Turkey and the rest (less than 3%) went to other countries.
Compared to February 2022, the outflow of money increased by 20%. In that period, USD 41.1 million were sent from Kyrgyzstan through fast transfer systems.
For two months of 2023, the volume of money transfers from the country amounted to USD 107.4 million, which is 1.4 times more than in the same period of 2022.
