Over 1 thsd unvaccinated employees temporarily suspended in Uzbek capital

Tashkent, Jan. 19, 2022. / Kabar /. Checks to identify unvaccinated employees are underway in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent, UzA news agency reported.

On Jan. 17, working groups checked 305 business entities and 203 budgetary organizations. As a result, 359 employees of business entities and 885 workers of budgetary organizations were not vaccinated. 1,044 employees who didn't receive the vaccine were suspended from work, 200 were fined and one company's operations were suspended.

Earlier, the Health Ministry of the republic instructed employers to urgently vaccinate their employees until Jan. 20 or suspend them.

Now the number of coronavirus cases in the country is actively growing. The Ministry of Health urged Uzbekistanis not to panic, because Omicron has more mild form than other strains of the coronavirus.
