Over 1 thsd volunteers involved in work of temporary vaccination centers in Kyrgyzstan

In Kyrgyzstan, more than 1,000 Red Crescent volunteers are involved in the work of temporary vaccination centers throughout the republic, Madzhit Kimuzayev, a coordinator of volunteers in the Red Crescent of Kyrgyzstan told during a briefing on the epidemiological situation in the country.

He added that since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Red Crescent volunteers have been actively working to help medical personnel and the population.

"Volunteers assist with hotlines, urgent emergencies, food deliveries and other vital matters," Kimuzayev said.

In addition, the coordinator noted that since the end of April 2021, volunteers have been on duty at family medicine centers (FMCs), where daily voluntary vaccinations are administered to the population.
