Over 1.5 thsd enterprises in Kyrgyzstan's Osh city allowed to resume operations

Bishkek, May 3, 2020. /Kabar/. In the city of Osh 1 thousand 700 enterprises were given permissions to resume their activities from May 1, First Deputy Mayor of Osh Sabirzhan Turduyev said Sunday at a briefing.

As he noted, for today amendments were made in state of emergency all over the republic, and gradual resumption of economy is defined. The list of spheres of activity which are allowed to start the activity has been made.

Since May 1, the Osh Mayor's Office has received 3 thousand applications for permission from enterprises and private entrepreneurs. Of these, 1,700 were given permission to launch activities.

"As of today we have started working in the energy sector, industry, construction, some taxi services, hairdressing salons, etc. Work on issuing permission is going normally," Turduyev said.

In the cities of Bishkek, Osh, Dzalal-Abad and At-Bashy region of Naryn Oblast a state of emergency is in force until May 10 inclusively due to the current situation under COVID-19.

A curfew has been established. At the same time, the Kyrgyz Government has already developed a three-phase procedure for resuming economic activity, and the first stage came into force on May 1.
