Bishkek, Jan. 25, 2019. /Kabar/. During the year, 1,762 marriages with foreigners were registered in Kyrgyzstan, Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziyev told during a government meeting.
He said that out of a total of 582 – citizens of the Russian Federation, many of whom are ethnic Kyrgyz, citizens of Uzbekistan — 489 citizens, Tajikistan — 192 citizens, China — 18 people.
“If an educated foreigner marries our citizens, is that bad? They will also raise the economy of our country. And how many of our compatriots went to other countries to earn money? They get married and stay there. This is a normal practice,” the Prime Minister asked.
