Over 20 thsd citizens returned to Kyrgyzstan since COVID-19 outbreak

Bishkek, July 7, 2020. /Kabar/. Since the outbreak of coronavirus infection, 20 thousand 638 Kyrgyz citizens have been returned from abroad by air and land transport, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Nuran Niyazaliyev said during a briefing.

Kyrgyzstanis in Moscow, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Istanbul, Dubai, New Delhi, Dammam and Washington were returned on charter flights in July.

Niyazaliyev added additional charter flights from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Istanbul, Dubai and Minsk will be organized in the coming days.

"The work on the return of our citizens and the provision of comprehensive assistance in the host countries is carried out in accordance with the instructions of President of the Kyrgyz Republic. All the embassies, consulates general and consular offices of the Kyrgyz Republic are involved in this process and are working practically round- the -clock," Nuran Niyazaliyev concluded.
