Over 22 thsd Kyrgyz citizens returned from Russia to Kyrgyzstan since March 20

Bishkek, Aug. 4, 2020 / Kabar /. From March 20 to Aug. 3 of this year, 22 thousand 440 Kyrgyz citizens returned from Russia to Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

In accordance with the instruction of President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov on the return of citizens of Kyrgyzstan to their homeland, 35 flights were organized from Russia from July 1 to 31, 2020 and 7 thousand 986 citizens were taken out by 32 buses. Including from 6 regions of the Russian Federation (Moscow, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Orenburg, Samara, St. Petersburg), the press service said.

Thus, in general, since the suspension of flights, from March 20 to Aug. 3, 2020, 22 thousand 440 citizens returned from Russia to Kyrgyzstan. 93 flights were carried out to Kyrgyzstan and the departure of citizens on 52 buses in transit through the territory of Kazakhstan was organized.

Given the difficult epidemiological situation in Kyrgyzstan, the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Russia calls on citizens who do not have urgent reasons to return to their homeland, if possible, refrain from leaving for Kyrgyzstan until the situation stabilizes.
