Over 230 thsd couples married in Kyrgyzstan in 5 years, about 50 thsd – divorced

Bishkek, Jan. 25, 2021. /Kabar/. In five years, 231,111 marriages were registered in Kyrgyzstan and 49,272 couples got divorced, the press service of the State Registration Service (SRS) of the republic said Monday.

In 2016, 48 thousand 936 couples married, in 2017 - 43 thousand 325 couples, in 2018 - 49 thousand 511 couples, in 2019 - 49 thousand 395, and 39 thousand 944 couples registered their marriages in 2020.

According to the report of the Registration Service, 9 thousand 98 couples terminated their relationship in 2016, 9 thousand 594 couples – in 2017, 10 thousand 435 – in 2018, 10 thousand 995 – in 2019, and 9 thousand 150 couples divorced in 2020.

According to the statistical data, the largest number of marriages were registered in 2018 - 49 thousand 511, and divorces refer to 2019 - 10 thousand 995.
