Over 25 thsd computers to be transferred to Kyrgyz schools

Bishkek, Sept. 15, 2020. /Kabar/. Under the “Learning for the Future” joint project of Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Education and Science and the International Development Association (IDA), 1200 schools in the country will be equipped with computer equipment.

The project is aimed at facilitating the development of the educational process and improving digital skills of teachers and students, the press service of the Kyrgyz Education Ministry reported.

Special computer classes will be created in 1200 schools within the project. Each classroom will have 15 computers (25 thousand computers with furniture), MFPs (1200 pcs.). In these schools there will be 6 multimedia classrooms (projector, computer, UPS), it will allow using in teaching electronic materials on all major subjects with special attention to mathematics and science cycle subjects.

In addition, the project provides support for technological learning - the creation of digital school content with a focus on subjects of the science cycle.

Besides, 36,000 teachers will receive advanced training in science teaching methods and ICT courses to enhance student learning in preparation for the Programme for International Students Assessment (PISA).
