Over 250 complaints about violence against children received in 2021

Bishkek, Jan. 14, 2022. / Kabar /. Line 111 received more than 250 child abuse complaints last year, the press service of the Ministry of Labour, Social Development and Migration of Kyrgyzstan said.

Last year 101 thousand 156 telephone calls were received (or 277 calls per day).

Of these, 269 subscribers or 10.4% reported abuse and violence against children by parents, relatives, foster parents, guardians, stepmother, stepfather, brother, sister, husband, head teacher, teacher, peers, neighbor, harassment by an uncle, an unfamiliar man, the owner of the apartment.

The ministry noted that 138 subscribers or 5.3% called on family relations and conflicts.

In addition, 126 subscribers or 4.8% applied about family violence against women by husband, parents, relatives, stepfather, son-in-law, son, mother-in-law, neighbor, friend, cohabitant, unknown man.
