Bishkek, Sept. 4, 2020 /Kabar/. The Center for Coordination of State-Guaranteed Legal Aid under the Ministry of Justice of Kyrgyzstan provides assistance in the form of legal advisory services and qualified legal assistance, the press service of the Justice Ministry reported Friday.
For the first half of 2020, within the framework of legal consulting assistance, the Center provided 26 thousand 693 persons with consultations, including 438 persons with disabilities, 340 minors, 5 thousand 764 pensioners, 3 thousand 349 poor citizens.
"In addition, 614 legal consultations were provided through the 112 hotline, including 19 for persons with disabilities," the report says.
According to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On Guaranteed State Legal Assistance" qualified legal assistance is provided at the expense of the state in the sphere of criminal, civil, and administrative legal proceedings.
Persons whose annual income does not exceed 60 times the minimum wage established annually by the law on the republican budget are entitled to receive qualified legal assistance at the expense of the state.
For 2020, the amount of annual income should not exceed KGS 111,240 (about USD 1,413).
