Bishkek, Aug. 13, 2020. /Kabar/. Currently, decrease in laboratory confirmed cases of coronavirus infection is observed, Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Minister of Health Madamin Karatayev said during a news briefing Thursday.
According to him, at the same time, there is a reproductive figure.
"We can calculate how many people one contagious person can infect. If we consider the figures for July, one infected person can contaminate another by 0.5%. In 13 thousand 177 people, or 36.3% of those infected, the disease is asymptomatic. In 10 thousand 781 or 29.7% of those infected, the disease is in mild form," Karatayev said.
He also noted that as of today, 41 thousand 69 cases have been registered.
"There is information among the population that this statistics is not true. We report the officially registered cases. If we take those who did not apply, but they had an asymptomatic course or a mild degree of the disease, about 160 thousand people got sick with this disease," the deputy health minister concluded.
