Over 40 villages of Naryn Oblast planned to be provided with clean drinking water

Osh, Dec.17, 2019. /Kabar/. 42 villages in Naryn Obalst are planned to be provided with clean drinking water. This became known during a retreat of group of MPs to Naryn Oblast on Dec.10.

Members of the Committee of the Jogorku Kenesh for Agricultural Policy and Water Resources, heads of regions, town mayors, heads of village administrations, representatives of the Naryn Oblast state administration and others took part in the retreat.

During the meeting, Chairman of the Committee Nurbek Alibekov said the purpose of the retreat is to consider the project on provision of drinking water to the population, identify on the ground problems for further rapid ratification of the project, and introduce into the project those villages that also need clean drinking water.

At the meeting it became known that 42 villages of Naryn Oblast are being included in the project of the Asian Development Bank to provide drinking water.

The total cost of the project is USD 32 million 900 thousand, USD 13 million 700 thousand of which are allocated as grant funds, and USD 13 million 700 thousand in the form of a loan, and remaining USD 5 million 500 thousand are planned to be invested by the Government.
