Over 420 thsd people in Kyrgyzstan receive state benefits

Bishkek, Apr. 7, 2020. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, 425 thousand 800 people receive state benefits, Labour and Social Development Minister of the republic Ulukbek Kochkorov said at a news briefing.

According to his data, 309 thousand 437 of them are children from low-income families, they receive allowances in the amount of KGS 870 (about $ 10).

"The number of recipients of monthly social benefits (MSB) is 93 thousand 546 persons – these are disabled persons, single elderly persons without work experience. The MSB average size is KGS 3 thousand 9 (about $ 35). 22 thousand 900 parents received Balaga Suyunchu (lump sum for child birth),” the minister added.

Ulukbek Kochkorov cited the data of the National Statistics Committee, according to which the total number of unemployed in the country is 156 thousand 300 people.

155 people receive unemployment benefits, its amount is KGS 300 (about $ 3.5).
