Tashkent, Jan. 27, 2021. /Kabar/. 508,000 Kyrgyzstanis visited Uzbekistan last year, the press service of the Uzbek State Statistics Committee reported.
A total of 1 million 504 thousand people visited Uzbekistan for tourism last year. Of these, 508,000 were Kyrgyzstani tourists, which is 77.7% higher compared to 2019.
Most foreign nationals visited Uzbekistan to visit relatives. Other guests of the republic indicated the purpose of the visit as travel, medical treatment and business trips.
1.4 million people (94.4% of the total) arrived from CIS countries, 83.8 thousand people (5.6%) - from other states.
Most of the tourists were from Kazakhstan - 424,1 thousand from Tajikistan - 337.5 thousand, 81.6 thousand people arrived from Russia.
