Over 55% of Uzbekistan’s population fully vaccinated against coronavirus

Tashkent, Dec. 14, 2021 . / Kabar / . In Uzbekistan, 55% out of the total number of people subject to vaccination have been fully vaccinated, the press service of the republic’s Health Ministry said Tuesday.

To date, number of Uzbekistanis who have received a full course of vaccinations is about 12 million.

Earlier it was reported that the total number of vaccines administered in Uzbekistan was close to 50 million doses.

Since April 1, the country began measures to vaccinate the population against coronavirus.

From late June, a mass vaccination of persons over 18 years old began in Tashkent, and from Sept. 28 - children over 12 years old are also allowed voluntary vaccination against coronavirus with a Pfizer vaccine.
