Over 60 residents of Uzgen to leave for South Korea to work

Bishkek, June 20, 2022. /Kabar/. 62 residents of Uzgen region of Kyrgyzstan’s Osh Oblast will leave for South Korea to work, the press service of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Labor reported.

The Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad (CECA) under the Ministry of Labor signed on April 21 an Agreement on the organized recruitment and employment of Kyrgyz citizens for seasonal work in agriculture.

This Agreement was signed between the CECA, the Khamyang Mayor’s Office and the administration of Uzgen region of Osh Oblast.

Under the Agreement, residents of Uzgen had the opportunity to be selected and employed in Korea for seasonal agricultural work for up to 5 months.

Administration of Uzgen region conducted the selection according to the requirements. As a result, 62 residents were selected, after which, with the assistance of the CECA labor visas were obtained.

During the meeting with Uzgen residents, deputy minister congratulated them on receiving labor contracts and on successfully passing the selection and employment in the Republic of Korea.

The departure of citizens is scheduled for June 21 by charter flight on the Bishkek-Incheon route.
