Over 700 int’l observers accredited for parliamentary elections of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Nov. 24, 2021 . / Kabar / . The Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of Kyrgyzstan accredited 295 international observers.

Thus, as of Nov. 23 2, the CEC of the republic accredited a total of 730 international observers representing 14 electoral authorities, 19 international organizations, 19 diplomatic missions.

Following organizations have sent international observers to monitor the preparation and conduct of the parliamentary elections:

• Mission from the CIS (including Groups from the IPA CIS and the CSTO PA);
• OSCE/ODIHR mission;
• OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Mission;
• SCO Mission;
• Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly Mission;
• Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries Mission;
• Organization of Turkic States Mission;
• Organization of Islamic Cooperation Mission, etc.

The CIS and OSCE/ODIHR missions have already deployed in Kyrgyzstan to monitor the electoral process. Long-term observers are observing not only in the capital, but also in regions of the country. Short-term observers will arrive in Kyrgyzstan in the coming days.

In addition to international organizations, observation will be carried out by representatives of electoral bodies of foreign countries. The CEC of Kyrgyzstan has accredited representatives of Elections Commissions of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Maldives, Moldova, Russia, Romania, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

Also, representatives of 19 diplomatic missions of foreign states were accredited as international observers.
