Tashkent, April 11, 2021 . / Kabar / . Voting in Kyrgyzstan’s constitutional referendum is continuing in the Kyrgyz Embassy in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent.
Aizhamal Karamurzaeva, the attaché of the Kyrgyz diplomatic mission said that as of 12:00 a.m., 82 citizens of Kyrgyzstan casted their vote.
"Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan Ibrahim Junusov also voted at the polling station," she noted.
Voting is taking place in compliance with sanitary safety standards. The polling station will be open until 8:00 p.m. local time.
A referendum to determine the form of government in Kyrgyzstan was held on Jan. 10 of this year, along with the early presidential elections. Then the presidential form of government was supported by 81.49 percent of voters. After that, a Constitutional Counsel was created, which developed a new draft of the Constitution.
