Bishkek, Nov. 18, 2021 . / Kabar / . In 2021, 9 thousand 228 people received state guaranteed legal aid (SGLA), the press service of the Ministry of Justice of Kyrgyzstan said.
Of these, 549 were children. Another 3,758 - people whose annual income did not exceed 60 times the minimum wage. 4 thousand 921 people received assistance without regard to annual income.
In terms of gender, 6,768 applications for legal assistance were received from men, and 2,460 applications - from women.
An increase is observed in qualified legal assistance provided at the stages of detention, investigation, as well as in civil and administrative cases.
Thus, 7,345 citizens received assistance in criminal proceedings, of which: in criminal cases - 5,749, in misdemeanor cases - 1,596, in the field of civil and administrative proceedings - 1883 (plaintiffs - 1738, defendants - 145).
