Bishkek, Feb. 22, 2021. / Kabar /. As part of a working visit to Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Education and Science Almazbek Beishenaliyev met with President of the Medical Commission of Pakistan Arshad Taqi.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Education Ministry reported that the talks resulted in solution of issue around medical universities of Kyrgyzstan.
Domestic medical universities are included in the A (international, independently accredited educational institutions), B (educational institutions that have passed independent accreditation, but have not passed international accreditation) and C (non-accredited and new medical schools) lists of the Medical Commission of Pakistan.
Pakistani citizens can freely apply to all educational institutions listed in the above lists.
Meanwhile, issues arising between the two sides due to differences in the curriculum were resolved comprehensively in accordance with the requirements of Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Education and Science.
In addition, during his visit to Pakistan, Minister Beishenaliyev met with chairperson of the Higher Education Commission Tariq Banuri. The sides agreed to establish the Kyrgyz-Pakistani Science Foundation.
Also, the Kyrgyz minister and Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood agreed to promote academic mobility between the universities the two countries.
During the meeting, the sides also agreed to exchange experience in the field of education.
It is planned to exchange experience with the Pakistani side on the development of state standards for vocational education.
Besides, Kyrgyzstan will share its experience in online education with Pakistan.
Almazbek Beishenaliyev also met with Health Minister of Pakistan Faisal Sultan and talked about Pakistani students studying in Kyrgyzstan.
