Parade of national costumes held in Bishkek

Bishkek, March 4, 2021 / Kabar /. A parade of national costumes to mark the Day of Ak Kalpak was held in Bishkek on Thursday. The action is timed to the Ak Kalpak Day, which is celebrated in the country on March 5.

The parade of national costumes started at 10 o'clock in the morning at the Ala-Too cinema and ended at the Ala-Too square.

As part of the event, a craft fair was also opened.

Every year in Kyrgyzstan, the Ak Kalpak Day is celebrated on March 5 - a holiday in honor of the national headdress of the Kyrgyz - a white cap, established by a resolution of the Jogorku Kenesh (parliament) of Kyrgyzstan dated June 29, 2016 in order to preserve the significance of the national headdress.
