Parliament has adopted 102 laws during its V session- Speaker Dzhumabekov

Bishkek, July 3, 2019. /Kabar/. The Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) has adopted 102 laws during the V session, Speaker of Parliament Dastanbek Dzhumabekov told during the final press conference.

He noted that 600 Government decrees had also been adopted.

“The Parliament members received more than 20,000 appeals from citizens and held about 3,000 meetings with voters. Roundtables and scientific conferences were held also,” he said.

Dzhumabekov noted that the adoption of 102 laws in one session is a good achievement.

The parliament speaker told about the past events at the international level, such as the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and cooperation in Europe meeting, held on Oct.3, 2018.

“It was an important historical event. Members of parliament from 56 countries arrived in Kyrgyzstan Reports on combating terrorism and extremism have been adopted,” he added.

Besides, Speaker Dzhumabekov named the meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the celebration of the 90th anniversary of Kyrgyz famous writer Chyngyz Aitmatov and the 80th anniversary of the Parliament among other important events.

The work of the fifth session of the Parliament of the sixth convocation was completed on June 28.
