Bishkek, May 13, 2020. /Kabar/. At a session of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) today, May 13, deputies are hearing Kyrgyzstan PM Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev's report on the work of the Government for 2019.
The PM focused on the main indicators of socio-economic development of the country, spoke about the work done in the areas of fiscalization and digitalization, development of regions, fighting corruption and getting the economy out of the shadows.
Abylgaziev told about the adopted laws, including the ratification of international agreements. According to his data, based on international agreements, Kyrgyzstan received USD 550 million, 260 million of which are grant funds.
He pointed out Kyrgyzstan's indicators in international ratings, which had changed positively. The PM's report reflects the achievements of Kyrgyz sportsmen in the world sports arena.
Referring to the republic's economic indicators, the head of the government stressed last year GDP growth made 4.5%.
"The volume of foreign investments amounted to USD 876 million (2.9% growth). Kyrgyzstan has attracted investments from China, Canada, the UK, Turkey, Russia and Kazakhstan. Investments were made in the spheres of mining, construction of highways and agriculture. There is a positive balance of exports and imports. The growth of export volume was 7%. Kyrgyzstan began exporting to China, Iran, Kazakhstan and Russia," he said.
Abylgaziev noted in 2019, over 77 thousand jobs were created, including 14 thousand steady ones. Within the framework of public-private partnership 29 projects are being implemented, 341 enterprises have been created.
The prime minister presented data on the support and development of agriculture, granting soft loans and agricultural equipment to farmers in leasing, construction and reconstruction of roads.
In 2019, the total length of roads amounted to 800 km, of which 423 km were covered with asphalt.
