At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh today, deputies considered and adopted the bill “On the ratification of the Memorandum of Obligations of the Republic of Belarus in order to obtain the status of a member state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, signed on July 4, 2023 in New Delhi” in three readings.
The initiator is Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aibek Moldogaziev presented information about the bill.
Based on the results of internal coordination, a decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic was issued on April 26, 2023 on the approval in the official language of the draft Memorandum of Obligations of the Republic of Belarus in order to obtain the status of an SCO member state.
This Memorandum was signed on July 4, 2023 following a meeting of the Council of Heads of SCO Member States in Russian and Chinese.
